The Handy Board, a microcontroller board based on the Motorola 6811 CPU, may be distributed under the following distribution arrangement. The Handy Board design (including printed circuit board layout artwork, schematic drawings, and driver software) may be freely disseminated, subject only to copyright and acknowledgment requirements: all materials must carry the copyright notice of MIT and acknowledgments to author (Fred Martin) and the MIT Media Laboratory. In other words, the Handy Board technology will be available to individuals and commercial users, without a limitation on secondary distribution. Moreover, no fees will be charged by MIT for the use of this technology, nor will any exclusive licenses be created.
