Timeline (310-784-5488) supplies the 16x2 LCD displays. Note: TimeLine is currently out of stock of the LCD that fits nicely onto the Handy Board (i.e., single row of 14 pins, with pin 1 in upper left corner of module). You can use whatever type they do supply by making a wiring harness to connect it to the Handy Board, or order an LCD from retail sources. A compatible retail display is the Hitachi LM-052L. Other valid manufacturers/part numbers: Alps LDS7A1792A; Optrex DMC16249; Hantronix HDM16216H-5; Arun Display WM-C1602M. Marshall (1-800-522-0084) supplies the Sharp infrared demodulator (IS1U60). If they are out of stock, other suppliers to try are Wiley (617-271-9953), Millgray (1-800-648-3595), and Sterling (617-938-6200). Insight (1-800-677-6011) supplies the Dallas Semiconductor voltage monitor (DS1233-10). Arrow Electronics (1-800-932-7769) supplies the SGS-Thompson motor drivers (L293D). Beall & Glenn Enterprises (1-800-874-4797) USED TO supply surplus 6811 processors. They have currently a summer sale whereby you can get 2 for the price of 1! The part to go for is the TLCM1620 (Greenweld no is Z5482), price normally 6 English Pounds for 1 (ergo 3LGS each!) These prices include the dreaded UK Value Added Tax. Post & Packing in the UK is 3 pounds. Credit Cards accepted. They do send stuff to other parts of the world too.
