The Handy Board uses a separate small interface board to convert
computer RS-232 levels (+ and - 12 volts) to TTL levels (0 to 5
volts). This allows the Handy Board itself to include more features
given its board area.
Interface/Charger Specs
PC-XT standard 25-pin DB female jack (looks like a modem to the
host computer).
includes trickle-charge and "zap charge" circuit for recharging
the Handy Board's battery.
standard 4-conductor telephone cable connects the
Interface/Charger to the Handy Board.
Interface may be powered by 12-15 volt AC or DC adapter ("wall
wart") or may receive power from the Handy Board's battery.
